About our Chapter

The Kalamazoo Battle Creek Chapter was started in 1982. The purpose was to be a support group for local families with autism in this community. As the incidence of autism has increased , our role has changed. While our main goal is still to support families, we also help with advocacy, provided information, connect the community, and promote awareness about autism. We want autism to be understood so that we can further acceptance of those with autism.
